The Moultonborough Historical Society Inc. (MHS) is a non-profit corporation located in Moultonborough, New Hampshire. Founded in 1979, it is dedicated to the preservation of the town’s historical and cultural heritage. The MHS is a member of the New Hampshire Historical Society.

The Society is located in Castle in the Clouds, a 16-room mansion built in 1914 by the wealthy industrialist, Thomas Plant. The MHS offers guided tours of the mansion, as well as educational programs and lectures. The museum includes exhibits on the history of Moultonborough, as well as displays of artifacts from the town's past.

The MHS also maintains an archives and library, where visitors can research their family history, as well as the history of the town and state. The Society also has an online catalog of publications, photographs, and documents available for research.

The MHS is involved in several restoration projects, including the restoration of the Moultonborough Academy and the preservation of the town's cemeteries. The Society also sponsors special events throughout the year, such as lectures, concerts, and fundraisers.

The MHS is open year-round and is open to the public. The Society's mission is to preserve and promote the history, culture, and heritage of Moultonborough, New Hampshire.
