McDavid Electrical supplies at 418 N. Royal. This area would now be located in the center roadway medium of the new Water Street at Adams.

The Chickasaw Historic Preservation Society (CHPS) was founded in Chickasaw, Alabama in 2010. Its mission is to preserve and promote the history of the Chickasaw people. The CHPS is dedicated to preserving and protecting the cultural heritage of the Chickasaw Nation. Through various educational programs, presentations, and cultural activities, the CHPS works to educate the public about the rich history and culture of the Chickasaw people.

The CHPS is located in the Historic Chickasaw Cultural Center, which is a living museum of Chickasaw culture. The center houses artifacts, art, photographs and other items that tell the story of the Chickasaw people. The center also features a research library, a theater, and a cultural center. The CHPS also works to preserve and promote traditional Chickasaw arts and crafts. The center holds classes and special events that focus on traditional Chickasaw art and culture.

The CHPS is involved in a variety of projects, including archaeological research, cultural mapping, and the preservation of Chickasaw history and culture. The organization also works with other groups to ensure preservation of Chickasaw artifacts, sites, and historic structures. The CHPS also sponsors educational events and programs in the local community, and provides resources and assistance to the Chickasaw people.
