The Washoe County Courthouse Historical and Preservation Society (WCCHPS) in Reno, Nevada is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the history and culture of Washoe County and the surrounding area. Founded in 1980, WCCHPS is committed to preserving the historic Washoe County Courthouse and other historic buildings in the area. The organization also works to educate the public about the history and culture of Washoe County, and to promote and develop the historical resources of the area.

WCCHPS is actively involved in a variety of projects which involve the preservation and documentation of the county's history and culture. This includes the preservation of the courthouse building, which is the oldest surviving courthouse in the state of Nevada. The organization also assists with research on historic sites, offers educational programs and workshops, and hosts lectures and other events. In addition, WCCHPS publishes a quarterly newsletter that provides information about the projects and activities of the organization.

The organization is supported in part by the generous donations of its members and through grants from local and state governments. All funds received go towards the preservation and maintenance of the courthouse and other historic sites. WCCHPS is committed to preserving the history and culture of Washoe County and ensuring that the stories of its people are not forgotten.
