The Nevada Rock Art Foundation (NRAF) is a non-profit organization that focuses on preserving, protecting, and promoting Nevada’s ancient rock art. Founded in 1989, NRAF works to ensure that these valuable and irreplaceable archaeological resources are preserved for future generations. The mission of the foundation is to encourage public recognition and appreciation of Nevada’s rock art, as well as to ensure its long-term preservation.

NRAF is based in Reno, Nevada, and has a variety of programs and initiatives to promote the preservation of Nevada’s rock art. These include educational programs, fieldwork, archaeological surveys, artifact preservation, and much more. The foundation also has an extensive library of books and articles about rock art, as well as a large collection of photographs of rock art from across the state.

Layia glandulosa - whitedaisy tidytips Layia glandulosa growing on an unstable hillside adjacent to mountain big sagebrush steppe in good ecological condition. It is notable that Layia glandulosa, perhaps like many species of the tarweed subgroup of Asteraceae, is more abundant where disturbance is regular. This species was not observed in the adjacent sagebrush steppe. This site occurs along the Thomas Creek Drainage just east of the Thomas Creek trailhead, southwest Reno, Carson Range, Washoe County, Nevada.
