Friends of Santa Cruz State Park is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting the preservation of the natural and cultural resources of the Santa Cruz State Park in Capitola, California. The park is located in the heart of the Monterey Bay region, and encompasses two miles of beautiful coastline, two miles of the San Lorenzo River, and more than 2,000 acres of land. It is home to diverse wildlife and plants, and features a variety of recreational activities including picnicking, swimming, fishing, boating, camping, hiking, biking, and more.
The park is also home to a variety of cultural resources, including several historic sites and structures, such as the Santa Cruz Mission, the Santa Cruz Whaling Station, the Capitola Beach Pavilion, and the Santa Cruz Lighthouse.
