KANEKO

KANEKO is a non-profit cultural organization located in Omaha, Nebraska, dedicated to exploring and promoting creativity. The organization was founded in 1998 by the late philanthropist and businessman, Jun Kaneko, and his wife, Ree Kaneko. The KANEKO building is a historic brick warehouse in the Old Market district of Omaha, which has been renovated and repurposed as a space for exhibitions, performances, and workshops.

KANEKO features a wide variety of programs and events, including exhibitions of contemporary art, lectures and talks by artists and scholars, educational workshops and classes, and performances of music, dance, and theater. Many of the exhibitions and events at KANEKO are focused on exploring the creative process and encouraging visitors to engage in their own creative pursuits.

One of KANEKO's most notable features is its permanent installation of ceramic sculptures by Jun Kaneko. These large-scale, brightly colored pieces are displayed both inside and outside the building and have become a landmark in the Omaha community.
