This area experienced a burn during early September 2020 but mainly to the north of this site. This south facing ridgeline represents open understory of primarily Douglas fir and secondarily limber pine.

Montana State University (MSU) is a public research university located in Bozeman, Montana. Founded in 1893, it is the largest university in Montana, enrolling over 16,000 students in undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs.
