This area experienced a burn during early September 2020 but mainly to the north of this site. This south facing ridgeline represents open understory of primarily Douglas fir and secondarily limber pine.

The Montana Ghost Town Preservation Society is a non-profit organization based in Bozeman, Montana that aims to preserve and protect the state's historic ghost towns. The society was founded in 1984 by a group of enthusiasts who shared a common interest in preserving the history and heritage of Montana's abandoned towns.
