The Stephen Jonah King Community Preservation Group (SJKCP) is a non-profit organization based in Bessemer, Alabama. Founded in 2010, the organization is dedicated to preserving and promoting the heritage of the African American community in the Greater Bessemer area. The organization’s mission is to “promote, preserve and protect the unique and irreplaceable legacy of the African American community in Bessemer and the surrounding areas.”
