Polk County Museum is located in the small town of Bolivar, Missouri. The museum is situated in the historic courthouse building which was built in 1907 and was in use until the 1980s. The museum showcases the history of Polk County and the surrounding area through a collection of artifacts, photographs, and documents.

The museum has several exhibits which include displays of antique farm equipment, household items from the past, a 1900s schoolroom, a doctor's office, and a 1920s kitchen. The museum also has a collection of military artifacts which includes uniforms, weapons, and other memorabilia from local veterans who served in various wars.

Visitors can also explore the courtroom where trials were held in the past. The courtroom has been restored to its original condition and visitors can sit in the judge's chair or stand in the witness box.

Polk County Museum is run by volunteers who are passionate about preserving the history of their community. The museum is open to the public on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Admission is free, but donations are welcome. The museum is a great place for history buffs to learn about the past and for families to explore together.
