BOLDUC HOUSE

Bolduc House is a historic landmark located in Ste Genevieve, Missouri. The house was built in 1770 by Louis Bolduc, a French-Canadian fur trader, and is believed to be one of the oldest, still-standing, homes in the Midwest. The house is a perfect example of French Colonial architecture and has been restored to its original form.

The Bolduc House is a two-story, rectangular house that is made out of hand-hewn, white oak logs. The house features a central chimney and a steep roofline with dormer windows. The walls are made out of stucco and the windows are fitted with wooden shutters. The interior of the house features a central hall and four rooms on each floor.

The Bolduc House is now a museum and is open to visitors. The house has been furnished with period furniture and artifacts, providing visitors with an insight into the daily life of a French Colonial family.
