SIKESTON DEPOT

The Sikeston Depot is a historic train station located in Sikeston, Missouri. Built in 1894, it is the oldest surviving building in the town. The two-story building is constructed in the Italianate style and features a large arched window on the first floor and a balcony on the second floor. The building has a small, one-room waiting area and a baggage room.

The Sikeston Depot is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is a part of the Sikeston Historic District. It was originally built by the St. Louis, Iron Mountain and Southern Railway, and is now owned by the City of Sikeston. The depot is one of the few surviving examples of the Italianate style of architecture in the state.

The depot is currently open for public tours, and hosts a variety of events.
