Delta State University (DSU) is located in Cleveland, Mississippi, and is a four-year public university. It was established in 1924 as the Mississippi Delta’s first public university and is now home to over 3,000 students. The school offers more than 50 degree programs and is the home of the Delta State Statesmen and Lady Statesmen athletic teams.

The university has four colleges, including Arts & Sciences, Business, Education and Health & Human Sciences. DSU’s Arts & Sciences college offers majors in fields such as anthropology, art, biology, chemistry, English, history, mathematics, music and theatre. The Business college includes majors in accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing and public administration. The Education college offers four teaching majors as well as majors in counseling, kinesiology and special education. Finally, the Health & Human Sciences college offers majors in fields such as clinical laboratory science, dietetics, environmental health, nursing and speech-language pathology.

In addition to its academic programs, the university is also home to a variety of student organizations and activities. These include student government, student publications, intramural sports, fraternities and sororities, and a variety of clubs and organizations.
