An old building that crumbles and my old truck that soldiers on. A street corner in the small town of Sherman, Mississippi pictured with a lumbering, ponderous old truck that I love. 1949 Kodak tourist with the 3 element Anaston lens on Ilford Delta 100 film. Developed in Ilford ID-11 stock solution at 68F, scanned on an Epson V550 using the standard negative carrier with a chunk of anti-newton ring glass on top to hold the negative flat.
Longhorn At the Tupelo Buffalo Park I'm all done using powdered C41 developing chems. They just don't seem to have the shelf life of a liquid based kit like the Arista brand kit that I've bought from Adorama. After about 2 weeks of storage in my mini-fridge at 33F, the powder based developers, no matter what brand, start to produce cooler tones than they should. Skys turn cyan and grass is greener than it should be. I can try to correct in Photoshop, but the results are never as good as just using a liquid based chem set instead. I'm also all done with these teeny tiny 35mm bits of film. It's medium format from here on out for me. Olympus OM-1n, Olympus 35-105mm zoom lens, Kodak Ektar film developed in Unicolor C41 powder kit, scanned on Epson V550 using standard plastic negative carrier and anti-newton ring glass on top.

Ecru, Mississippi 1949 Kodak Tourist - f4.5 Anaston lens set in Flash Kodamatic shutter - Ektar 100 color negative film rerolled onto a 620 spool - 1/100 @ f16 - developed in Arista brand C41 chem kit.
1954 Chevy - Ecru, M.S. 1949 Kodak Tourist - f4.5 Anaston lens set in Flash Kodamatic shutter - Ektar 100 color negative film rerolled onto a 620 spool - 1/100 @ f11 - developed in Arista brand C41 chem kit. I over exposed this one and had to fix it as best I could in the scan software and Photoshop.
Sherman, M.S. Shot with my new-to-me 1949 Kodak Tourist 620 folder camera. Mine has the f4.5 Anaston Lens set in the Flash Kodamatic shutter. This shot was made at 1/100 and f16. It's like shooting a box camera that gives negatives that are actually sharp all the way to the edges. I'm going to try to get a f4.5 Anastigmat Special set in a Flash Supermatic shutter for it although there is nothing wrong with the photos that this lens produces. I like the fact that a whole roll of film is only 8 shots - perfect for an afternoon of shooting around your hometown. Sometimes 24 or 36 exposures of 35mm is too many. Shot on Ilford Delta 100 film rerolled onto a 620 spool and developed at 68F in ID11 stock solution.
BILLSUP filling station - outside Sherman, M.S. Billlsup has been out of business a long time. It looks like gas was 12.9 cents per gallon on the last day! Shot with my new-to-me 1949 Kodak Tourist 620 folder camera. Mine has the f4.5 Anaston Lens set in the Flash Kodamatic shutter. This shot was made at 1/100 and f16.
