The Skipwith Historical and Genealogical Society Inc. (SHGS) is a non-profit organization located in Oxford, Mississippi established in 1984. The mission of the SHGS is to collect, preserve, and share the history and genealogy of the Skipwith family, their descendants, and other related families.

The SHGS has a library of genealogical records and publications on the Skipwith family, as well as a collection of family histories, biographies, photographs, documents, and other artifacts. Through its research and publications, the SHGS seeks to share the history and heritage of the Skipwith family and their descendants with the public.
