CROSBY ARBORETUM

Crosby Arboretum is a 104-acre botanical garden located in Picayune, Mississippi. It was established in 1980 by the Mississippi State University Extension Service and is currently managed by the Mississippi State University Foundation. The arboretum is named in honor of L.O. Crosby Jr., a prominent businessman and conservationist who was instrumental in its creation.
The arboretum is home to a diverse collection of over 300 species of native plants, including many rare and endangered species. The gardens are arranged in different habitats such as savannas, wetlands, and woodlands, each with its own unique plant species. Visitors can explore the gardens through a network of walking trails that wind through the different habitats.
