Baker Waterfowl Production Area reads: Martin "Marty" Baker 1963-2021 "Working to keep this planet healthy" This area is named in honor of U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service staff member, Marty Baker, who served with passion for 30 years at Windom Wetland Management District. Thousands of acres of native grasses and wildflowers were sown across southern Minnesota by the working hands of Marty. He was a tireless advocate, introducing youth to the outdoors through wildlife programs, hunter education, job mentoring, 4-H, FFA, and prairie restoration. Marty's love of the outdoors, including camping, fishing, and hunting, were shared with family and friends. The Fulda Heritage Society is a non-profit organization located in Fulda, Minnesota. It was founded in 1989 by local residents with the goal of preserving the cultural heritage of Fulda and the surrounding area. The society works to collect and document artifacts, photographs, and documents related to the history of Fulda, to promote the preservation and appreciation of local heritage, and to inform the public of Fulda's past.
