Metropolitan State University Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in St. Paul, Minnesota. Established in 1974, the Foundation’s mission is to support the educational mission of Metropolitan State University by providing resources to enhance the educational experience of its students.
The Foundation offers a variety of scholarships to students, including the Metropolitan State University Scholarship, the Target Scholarship, and the Minnesota State University System Transfer Scholarship. In addition to scholarships, the Foundation also provides support for faculty, staff, and student programs.
The Foundation works closely with Metropolitan State University to provide educational programs and services, and to ensure that students have the resources they need to succeed. The Foundation also works with local businesses and organizations to build relationships and provide resources for students.
The Foundation's Board of Directors is comprised of members of the university's faculty, staff and alumni, as well as representatives from the business and community sectors. The Board is responsible for setting the Foundation's strategic objectives and overseeing its management and operations.
The Foundation also sponsors several annual events, including the Metropolitan State University Foundation Annual Gala, the Metropolitan State University Foundation Scholarship Awards Ceremony, and the Metropolitan State University Foundation Leadership Series. The Foundation also offers community engagement opportunities, such as volunteer work and collaborative projects.
The Foundation is committed to providing resources and support that will ensure the success of Metropolitan State University students for years to come.
