MINNESOTA LANDSCAPE ARBORETUM

The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chaska MN is a 1,200 acre botanical garden and educational facility. It is a part of the University of Minnesota and is owned and operated by the University of Minnesota College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences. The Arboretum is located in the southeastern corner of the Twin Cities metropolitan area and is open year-round.

The Arboretum is home to more than 5,000 species of plants, including trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals and more. There are also over 20 specialty gardens, including Children’s, Conifer and Perennial, as well as a Rock Garden and Herb Garden. An extensive collection of native trees, shrubs and plants are displayed throughout the grounds.

The Arboretum offers a variety of educational programs and activities, including classes, workshops and lectures. There are also guided tours, volunteer opportunities and special events. The Arboretum also offers a variety of research and conservation efforts, including plant breeding, plant ecology and more.
