The Lake Region Veterans Color Guard in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota is a volunteer organization dedicated to honoring veterans and active duty military personnel. They are an integral part of the community, participating in parades, ceremonies, and other events to recognize and honor those who have served. The Color Guard consists of a Commander, four officers, and eight members. All of the members have served in the United States military.

The Color Guard carries the American flag, the Minnesota state flag, and the flags of the five branches of the service. They wear a traditional uniform consisting of black trousers, white shirt, and a black beret with a red, white and blue streamer. During parades and ceremonies, the Color Guard marches in formation, presenting and carrying the flags, salutes, and performs other military honors.

The Color Guard participates in many events throughout the year, including the annual Memorial Day Parade, Veterans Day Parade, and other parades and ceremonies in the area. They also present the colors at sporting events, and provide a Color Guard for funerals for veterans and active duty military personnel. The Color Guard also helps out with other community events and activities, such as school events, and is available for speaking engagements.

The Color Guard's mission is to honor veterans, active duty military personnel and their families, and to serve as a visible reminder of the sacrifices of those who have served our country. Their dedication and commitment to their mission is an inspiration to all who have the privilege of knowing them.
