Sam Brown Log Cabin is a historic structure located in Browns Valley, Minnesota. It was built in the year 1890 by Sam Brown, a prominent figure in the community who was also a farmer and a trader. The cabin is made entirely of logs and was constructed using the traditional method of dovetail joints, which were held together by wooden pegs.

The cabin is a one-story structure that measures about 20 feet by 24 feet. It features a gable roof and a front porch with a small overhang. Inside, the cabin is divided into two rooms, one for sleeping and the other for cooking and living. The interior walls are made of wooden planks, and the floors are made of rough-hewn boards.

The cabin was used by Sam Brown and his family for many years, and it remained in the Brown family until the 1960s. In 1972, it was donated to the Browns Valley Historical Society, which restored it and opened it to the public as a museum.

Today, visitors to the Sam Brown Log Cabin can step back in time and experience what life was like for early settlers in the area. The cabin is furnished with period-appropriate items, including a wood-burning stove, a washstand, and a rocking chair. It is a popular destination for history buffs and anyone interested in the pioneer lifestyle.
