The Waugoshance Lighthouse Preservation Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and restoration of the historic Waugoshance Lighthouse in Mackinaw City, Michigan. The lighthouse was originally built in 1851 and served as a beacon for ships navigating the treacherous waters of the Straits of Mackinac until it was decommissioned in 1912.

The Preservation Society was founded in 2001 by a group of volunteers who recognized the historical significance of the lighthouse and were committed to its restoration. The Society works to raise funds through donations, grants, and merchandise sales in order to finance the preservation and restoration efforts of the lighthouse.

The Society also offers educational programs and tours to the public to promote awareness and appreciation for the lighthouse's rich history. Visitors can climb to the top of the lighthouse and enjoy stunning views of Lake Michigan and the surrounding area.

The Waugoshance Lighthouse Preservation Society operates in partnership with the Mackinaw City Chamber of Commerce and the Mackinaw City Village Council to ensure the lighthouse remains a valuable part of the community's history and culture. The Society's efforts have resulted in the lighthouse being listed on the National Register of Historic Places, ensuring its preservation for future generations to enjoy.
