The Heritage Center Foundation is a non-profit organization located in Battle Creek, Michigan. Its mission is to preserve and promote the history and culture of the Battle Creek area. We Went for a Walk Here's Joan, framed by a tree and a bush, on a trail called <a href="https://www.michiganaudubon.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Baker_MM-Trail-Map_Illustrated.pdf" rel="noreferrer nofollow">Meadow and Marshland</a>. She's carrying her then brand-new Nikon 1 J1. A dozen years ago today Joan and I spent part of the afternoon wandering around Michigan Audubon's Bernard Baker Sanctuary, where I caught this photo. Baker's long been one of our favorite hikes. <i>This is the March photo for my 2024 calendar.</i>
Richard with Lantern It's Dick's birthday today; he'd have been 70 years old. But he passed away about a decade ago. This photo was taken by our father, Roger Dinda, and was scanned from an Ektachrome slide dated June of 1960.
