The museum is located in the historic Belvedere Tiburon Depot, which was built in 1884 to serve the San Francisco and North Pacific Railroad. The depot was the first of its kind in the area and served as a major hub for the transportation of goods and passengers in the region. The museum features a variety of exhibits and displays that highlight the importance of railroads and ferries in the development of the area.
