The Merrill Township Historical Society Woodland Park School House is a historic school located in Bitely, Michigan. Built in 1897, the one-room schoolhouse served as an educational facility for local children for over 50 years. The schoolhouse was closed in 1951, and remained unused for several decades until it was purchased by the Merrill Township Historical Society in 1983.

Since then, the society has restored the schoolhouse to its original condition, complete with period-appropriate furnishings and educational materials. The schoolhouse now serves as a museum and educational center, offering visitors a glimpse into what life was like for students in a one-room school in the early 20th century.

Visitors to the Merrill Township Historical Society Woodland Park School House can tour the schoolhouse and learn about the history of education in the area. The museum also features a variety of exhibits highlighting the history of the local community, including displays on agriculture, logging, and transportation.

The Merrill Township Historical Society Woodland Park School House is open to the public from May through October, and offers a unique opportunity to experience a piece of Michigan's educational history.

Dog park fenced, equipped, and open for all The Brutus Dog Park bears images and statues of bulldogs. So it would seem that is the breed that the namesake was, too. In city after city since around 2000 pieces of land have been fenced and maintained for dog owners to let their pet roam unfettered by a leash. Some places segregate large breed from small breed, allowing those in-between to choose where their own dog best fits. With so many sharp teeth together at one time, it would seem to be a potentially dangerous situation when one dog misinterprets another's cues and bites or even worse. And then if a panicky owner intervenes, then the risk grows even bigger. Yet seldom do tragedies seem to happen or at least reach the local news desk.
