Calumet Theatre is a historic performing arts venue located in Calumet, Michigan. It was built in 1900 and designed by the architectural firm of Charlton & Kuenzli. The theatre is a magnificent example of the Richardsonian Romanesque style and features a beautiful interior with intricate woodwork, stained glass windows, and an ornate ceiling.

Rock House : The Rock House served three purposes. First was to provide a building to house a crusher for the ore carried up the shaft. Second was to house storage bins for the crushed ore for loading on to rail cars for transport to the mill. And third was to house the operation for emptying the skip with the ore at a high enough elevation so that the ore could flow by gravity down through the crusher. All of this was facilitated by the ropes running from the hoist building, to the Rock House and down the shaft using more than 9,000 feet of rope. The Rock House was also used to allow changing the skips for water carriers for emptying water accumulating in the mine or for sleds to carry workers up and down the shaft.
