Turtles double-parked on pond logs at the nature center A few miles west of downtown Grand Rapids is the Blandford Nature Center with a dozen or so ponds - both the intermittent seasonal kind and the all-year kind. On this sunny spring day the old and the young turtles were warming in the sun. What they do from sun down until the next day would be interesting to know, but tracking their movement under the surface or wherever they may go would be difficult to do.
