The Kimball House Historical Museum in Battle Creek, MI is a two-story, Italianate-style house built in 1867 by Alexander Kimball. It is located at the corner of Capital Avenue and Hamblin Avenue and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The museum offers a glimpse into Battle Creek’s past, with a large collection of artifacts from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The main floor of the museum features a living room with original furniture and a dining room with period dinnerware. Upstairs, visitors can explore the house’s original bedrooms and a parlor. The museum also has a variety of exhibits focusing on local history, including artifacts from the Battle Creek Sanitarium, the city’s role in the cereal industry, and a display of medical instruments from the early part of the 20th century.

The museum is open for self-guided tours from 1pm to 4pm on the first and third Sunday of each month, with the exception of major holidays. Special events are held throughout the year, including educational programs, lectures, and holiday events. Visitors can also book private tours, rent the facility for special events, or take part in the museum’s educational programs.
