VETERANS LEGACY INITIATIVE

The Veterans Legacy Initiative in Newburyport, MA is a non-profit organization that works to honor veterans and their families, by preserving and sharing their stories of service and sacrifice. It was founded in 2012 by a group of passionate volunteers dedicated to recognizing and honoring the contributions of veterans to our country. The Initiative works to honor veterans through educational and public programs, such as the Veterans Legacy Monument, a traveling tribute to all veterans, and the Veterans Legacy Speaker Series, which brings veterans and their stories to the community.
The Initiative also works to preserve the stories of veterans and their families, both through oral history interviews and through the digitization of archival and historical documents. The goal is to create a digital archive, which will be searchable by veterans and their families, as well as by the public at large. In addition, the Initiative has created a Veterans Legacy Legacy Fund, which provides grants to organizations dedicated to supporting veterans and their families.
The Veterans Legacy Initiative is committed to honoring veterans and their families, and ensuring that their stories are remembered and shared. Through its programs, it seeks to recognize the contributions of veterans, to preserve their stories and to provide support to those who have served our country.
