The Brighton-Allston Historical Society (BAHS) is a non-profit organization based in Brighton, Massachusetts. The Society was founded in 1983 and works to preserve and promote the history of the Brighton-Allston area. The Society is located in the historic old Brighton Town Hall, built in 1855 and home to the first free public library in the state.

The Society works to preserve and promote the history of the area, including its early development, the neighborhoods, important sites, and the people who lived and worked in the area. They also collect and preserve artifacts, photographs, and documents related to the area.

BAHS hosts a number of educational and cultural events throughout the year, including lectures, walking tours, and exhibits. They also conduct research and publish books, articles, and newsletters. The Society also works with local schools and other organizations to preserve and promote the history of the area.

The Society is run by a volunteer Board of Directors and a paid staff member. BAHS is supported by members, donors, and grant funding. They also receive support from the City of Boston and the Massachusetts Historical Commission.
