FRIENDS OF THE DALTON HISTORIC CEMETERIES

The Friends of the Dalton Historic Cemeteries (FDHC) is a volunteer-run organization dedicated to the research and preservation of three historic cemeteries in Dalton, Massachusetts. The cemeteries have been in continuous use since the early 18th century, when the town was first settled. The cemeteries are located on Main Street, North Street, and West Street and are a testament to the history of the town and its residents.
The FDHC was founded in 2008 with the mission of maintaining, preserving and protecting the three cemeteries and their monuments. They are committed to providing access to all visitors and researchers, and strive to ensure that the cemeteries remain open to the public. They also work with the local government to ensure that the cemeteries are properly maintained and that any changes or improvements are done with respect for the history of the cemeteries and the people buried in them.
