The University of California Berkeley Herbarium (UCB) is a research facility and public resource for the study of plants. It is the largest herbarium in the western United States, with a collection of over 1.8 million specimens. The Herbarium was founded in 1868 and is part of the University and Jepson Herbaria, a multi-institutional collaboration among UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz, and the University of California Jepson Herbaria.
