The New England Daylily Society Inc. (NEDS) is a non-profit organization with its headquarters located in Haverhill, Massachusetts. Founded in 1985, NEDS is dedicated to promoting, educating, and preserving the daylily for the enjoyment and betterment of all.
NEDS is a chapter of the American Hemerocallis Society (AHS), a national organization devoted to the advancement of daylily hybridizing, gardening, and horticultural excellence. NEDS meets twice a year in New England and holds an annual June show in Haverhill.
NEDS provides opportunities for members to learn about daylilies, share experiences, and build relationships with fellow gardeners. As part of the AHS, NEDS is committed to the preservation and improvement of daylilies through hybridizing, education, and research.
NEDS members come from all over New England and beyond. They hold a variety of events throughout the year, including an Annual New England Daylily Festival, garden tours, photo contests, and educational workshops.
NEDS is a vibrant and active organization that seeks to promote the appreciation and enjoyment of daylilies for all. From novice gardeners to experienced hybridizers, NEDS offers something for everyone interested in daylilies.
