Hacienda Heights, California is a census-designated place located in Los Angeles County. It is an unincorporated suburban area in the San Gabriel Valley, east of the city of Industry and west of the city of La Habra Heights. The area was first developed in the 1930s, when citrus was grown and harvested in the area. The area was later developed for residential housing, and the population has grown since then.

The Hacienda Heights Historical Society was founded in 1975 to preserve the area’s rich history. The society collects, preserves, and shares artifacts and stories of the area, with a focus on the original citrus farmers and their families. The society also works to raise awareness of the area’s diverse cultural heritage, and to educate the public about the history and culture of Hacienda Heights.

The Hacienda Heights Historical Society owns and operates the Hacienda Heights Community and Historical Center, which includes a museum, library, and archives. The museum includes artifacts from the citrus-farming days, as well as displays about the area’s history and culture. The library includes books about the area’s history, as well as other resources. The archives house photographs, documents, and newspaper articles about the area.

The Hacienda Heights Community and Historical Center also hosts a variety of programs and events. These include lectures, historical tours, and workshops. The center also has a gift shop, and hosts occasional art shows and other events. The Hacienda Heights Historical Society is a great resource for those interested in learning more about the area’s history and culture.
