The Mattoon Street Historic Preservation Association (MSHPA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the historic architecture of Mattoon Street in Springfield, MA. MSHPA was founded in 2008 as a way to protect and promote the unique and diverse architecture of the Mattoon Street neighborhood. The association works to preserve the area’s architectural and cultural heritage, while also promoting economic development in the area. MSHPA regularly hosts events and workshops to promote the history and culture of the neighborhood.

The MSHPA also works to ensure that the neighborhood remains a safe and vibrant place to live and work. They organize neighborhood clean-up days, sponsor educational programs, and work with local businesses to foster a sense of community. In addition, MSHPA works closely with the city of Springfield and other local organizations to promote redevelopment and revitalization of the neighborhood.

MSHPA is committed to preserving the historic architecture and culture of the Mattoon Street neighborhood while also promoting its economic development and quality of life.
