The Amesbury Carriage Museum in Amesbury, Massachusetts, is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and exhibiting the history of American transportation and its impact on the development of our nation. Founded in 1978, the Museum has grown to become a nationally recognized center for the preservation of horse-drawn carriages and related artifacts.

The Museum is home to a large collection of over two hundred carriages, ranging from the 1700s to the early 1900s, representing the largest public collection of horse-drawn vehicles in the country. Visitors can take a self-guided tour of the exhibits to learn about the history of transportation, from the origins of the horse-drawn carriage to the development of the automobile. The tour allows visitors to explore the various carriages, including the Concord Coach, the only known surviving example of the original stagecoaches from the early 19th century.

In addition to its carriage collection, the Museum also has a working blacksmith shop, an interactive educational center, a gift shop, and a library. The Museum offers a variety of programs and events throughout the year, including lectures, demonstrations, and special exhibitions. The Museum is open to the public Wednesday through Sunday, and admission is free. Visitors can also take part in guided tours and special events, such as the annual Fourth of July Parade and the Carriage Classic.
