The Jason Russell House-Smith Museum is a historic house museum located in Arlington, Massachusetts. The house was built in 1740 and was the site of an infamous battle during the American Revolution. On April 19, 1775, British soldiers marched on Concord and Lexington and encountered resistance from colonial militia. As the British retreated, they passed through Arlington and encountered a group of militia at the Jason Russell House. A battle ensued and eight colonials were killed, including Jason Russell, a 59-year-old farmer.

The house was later restored and opened as a museum in 1897. Today, visitors can tour the house and see artifacts from the colonial era, including furniture, clothing, and tools. The museum also features exhibits on the Revolutionary War and the role of the Jason Russell House in the conflict.

In addition to its historical significance, the Jason Russell House is also noteworthy for its architecture. The house is a classic example of a New England saltbox style home, with a sloping roof that extends down to a single-story addition at the back of the house. Visitors can admire the house's original details, including hand-hewn beams and paneling. The museum is open to the public seasonally and offers tours and educational programs for all ages.
