Friends of Mosaic Templars Cultural Center Inc. (FOMTCC) is a non-profit organization located in Little Rock, Arkansas, dedicated to the preservation and promotion of African American history, culture and art through education, research, and public programming. It was founded in 2000 as an offshoot of the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, a museum and research center established by the state of Arkansas to recognize and celebrate the important contributions of African Americans in the state.
FOMTCC works to promote African American history and culture through outreach initiatives, community events, and educational programs. It provides support to a number of initiatives and organizations in Arkansas, including the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, the Historic Arkansas Museum, the Mosaic Templars Masonic Lodge, and the Little Rock African American Heritage Trail.
The organization also sponsors the annual Mosaic Templars Cultural Center Awards to recognize individuals and organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to promoting the African American experience in Arkansas. In addition, FOMTCC works with other organizations to provide educational and cultural programming, including lectures, films, art exhibits, and music performances.
FOMTCC is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment in which to explore and celebrate African American history and culture. Through its work, the organization seeks to empower individuals and communities to celebrate their heritage and to become more active in their communities.
