The Rising Sun Historical Preservation Commission Inc. is a non-profit organization located in Rising Sun, Maryland. It is dedicated to preserving, protecting, and promoting the historical and cultural heritage of the Rising Sun area. The Commission works to preserve historical structures and sites, museums, archives, and records.

The Commission was founded in 1982 by a group of citizens concerned about preserving their local heritage. Since then, the Commission has grown to include a Board of Directors and an Advisory Council. The Board consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The Advisory Council consists of members from the local community, historical organizations, and local businesses.
