JARC provides training in the manufacturing and construction sectors, specifically welding and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining. Trainees learn how to write code to operate the CNC machine to precisely cut metal parts. Trainees work on projects to develop skills and a CNC certification. Through this JARC works to address the dual challenges of pervasive poverty and industry skills shortages.

Visit to Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine (Baltimore, Maryland) - October 12th, 2019 I am in Baltimore with Pam for the Fashion Royalty Convention. Today I visited Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine on Saturday October 12th, 2019. I wanted to do some ship watching, but had time to visit the fort and really enjoyed the visit. A great stop for anyone who is traveling in the area. From the National Park Service - &quot;O! say can you see,...by the dawn's early light, a large red, white and blue banner? Whose broad stripes and bright stars . . . were so gallantly streaming! over the star-shaped Fort McHenry during the Battle of Baltimore, September 13-14, 1814. The valiant defense of the fort inspired Francis Scott Key to write &quot;The Star-Spangled Banner.&quot;
