Clifton Mansion is an historic building located in the northeast corner of Baltimore, Maryland. The mansion was built in 1802 and was originally owned by Captain Henry Thompson, a successful merchant in Baltimore. It was later purchased by Johns Hopkins, the founder of the famous Johns Hopkins University. The mansion has been restored and is now a part of the Clifton Park Museum, which is run by the city of Baltimore.

The mansion is a three-story, Federal-style brick building with a central block and two flanking wings. It features a grand entrance staircase, a large ballroom, a formal dining room, and several bedrooms. The mansion is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and a park that covers 266 acres. The park includes a lake, a playground, and several walking trails.

Clifton Mansion has played an important role in the history of Baltimore. During the Civil War, the mansion was used as a hospital for wounded soldiers. It was also the site of the first meeting of the Maryland State Colonization Society, which advocated for the colonization of freed slaves in Africa.
