The Cumberland Historic Cemetery Organization Inc. is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to the preservation, maintenance, and promotion of the historic cemeteries of Allegany County, Maryland. The organization was established in 2014 and is composed of local citizens and cemetery enthusiasts who share a common goal of preserving the history and culture of Allegany County through the preservation of its cemeteries.

The organization is run by a board of directors, with a president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and at-large members. The board meets on a quarterly basis to discuss the preservation, maintenance and promotion of the cemeteries. The organization also works with local government, historical societies, and other organizations to ensure that these cemeteries are preserved for future generations.

The Cumberland Historic Cemetery Organization works to maintain the monuments and markers within the cemeteries, and also to make sure that the cemeteries are properly cared for through regular maintenance and upkeep. The organization also works to educate the public about the importance of these cemeteries and to promote their use as a resource for genealogical research.

Cumberland Historic Cemetery Organization Inc. is committed to preserving the history and culture of Allegany County through the preservation and promotion of its cemeteries, and to ensuring that these cemeteries remain a lasting legacy for future generations.
