The Accohannock Indian Tribe, Inc. is a Native American Tribe located in Marion Station, Maryland, about ninety miles east of Washington D.C. The Tribe is a federally recognized Indian Tribe and is a member of the Powhatan Confederacy. The Tribe is also a signatory to the 1646 Treaty of Middle Plantation.

The Tribe was established in 1990, and is governed by an elected Tribal Council. The council is comprised of a Chief, two Vice-Chiefs and a Secretary/Treasurer. The Council is responsible for overseeing the Tribe's daily operations, establishing policy, and setting the strategic direction of the Tribe.

The Tribe is committed to the preservation and promotion of its cultural heritage, and works to promote economic and social development among its members. The Tribe's mission is to: "Preserve, promote, and perpetuate the culture, language, and traditions of the Accohannock Indian Tribe." The Tribe operates a variety of programs, including cultural programs, educational programs, economic development programs, health and wellness programs, and language programs.

The Tribe is actively involved in a variety of community projects, including the annual Powhatan Heritage Festival and Powhatan Creek Days. The Tribe is also active in the local community, participating in a variety of local events and festivals.
