QUEPONCO RAILWAY STATION

Queponco Railway Station is a historic train station located in Newark, Maryland. The station was built in 1902 by the Baltimore, Chesapeake and Atlantic Railway and served as a passenger and freight station until the 1950s. The station was then used as a storage facility and fell into disrepair.

In 1994, the station was purchased by the Worcester County Historical Society and restored to its original condition. The station is now a museum and serves as a popular attraction for visitors interested in the history of the railway system in Maryland. The museum is open to the public and features exhibits on the history of the station, the railway system, and the local area.

The station is a two-story building with a gabled roof and a large platform. The exterior of the building is made of red brick and features arched windows and decorative trim.
