Dad as New Dad: Pure Joy One of many snapshots of old family photos I digitized the lazy way (with my mobile phone camera). As yesterday was the day my brother David passed away (1987) I am compelled to share this joyful photo of my Dad with his first child, likely in 1953 or 1954.
Baltimore: Ekiben - Ancho Chile Pork The Ancho Chile Pork, little morsels of braised pork, perfectly seared and swimming in bold sauce made with 10 different herbs and spice, topped with refreshing herb and cabbage slaw. Ekiben officially opened its doors in Fells Point in March, 2016. Started by Steve Chu, Abebe, and Nick Yesupriya as a modest operating using a hot-dog cart to sell Asian steamed bun sandwiches at the Fells Point Farmers Market. The name "Ekiben" is inspired by the Japanese tradition of ekiben, or train station bento box.
