Historic Sotterley, Inc. is a non-profit organization located in Hollywood, Maryland. It is the oldest plantation in Maryland that is still intact and functioning. The plantation was founded in the early 18th century by James Bowles, a wealthy tobacco planter. The plantation was later owned by the Sotterley family and was a working farm until the 20th century.

Today, Historic Sotterley is a historical landmark and museum that is open to the public. It offers tours of the plantation house, gardens, and grounds, as well as educational programs and events. The plantation house is a beautiful example of Georgian architecture and has been restored to its original condition. Visitors can see the original furnishings, artwork, and artifacts that belonged to the Sotterley family.

In addition to the plantation house, there are several outbuildings on the property, including a smokehouse, dairy, and slave quarters. These buildings have also been restored and provide a glimpse into the daily life of the people who lived and worked on the plantation.
