The Roger Brooke Taney House is a historic house located in Frederick, Maryland. It is named after Roger Brooke Taney, who served as the fifth Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court from 1836 until his death in 1864. The house was built in the early 1800s and served as Taney's residence from 1819 until his death.

The house is a two-story brick building with a pitched roof and a central entrance. It features a symmetrical facade with evenly spaced windows and a decorative front porch. The interior of the house has been restored to its original 19th-century appearance, and it contains furnishings and personal belongings that belonged to Taney and his family.

Visitors can take a guided tour of the house, which includes a look at the various rooms and the history of the Taney family. The house is also home to a museum that showcases Taney's life and career, as well as the history of the Supreme Court during his tenure.

Today, the Roger Brooke Taney House is a National Historic Landmark and is open to the public for tours and special events. It is a significant part of Frederick's history and a testament to the life and legacy of one of America's most influential legal minds.
