The Botanical Garden Society of the Ozarks (BGSO) is a nonprofit organization located in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Founded in 1996, BGSO's mission is to promote, preserve, and protect the native plants and natural habitats of the Ozark region. The society works to educate the public about the importance of native plants and habitats, as well as their conservation, through lectures, field trips, and educational programs.

BGSO's main project is the Fayetteville Botanical Garden, which features more than 500 species of native plants from the Ozark region. The garden is divided into seven different habitats: woodlands, prairie, wetlands, rock gardens, shrubs, trees, and herbaceous plants. In addition to the garden, BGSO also maintains a nursery, a greenhouses, and a library.

BGSO offers a variety of educational programs to the public, such as lectures, workshops, field trips, and classes on gardening, conservation, and horticulture. Additionally, BGSO works to protect and restore native habitats through programs such as the Ozark Habitat Restoration Project, which works to restore native habitats in areas that have been damaged by human activities.

BGSO also participates in community events such as the Fayetteville Earth Day Festival, the Fayetteville Farmers' Market, and the Northwest Arkansas Garden Show. Through its events and activities, BGSO works to promote the conservation of the Ozark region's native plants and habitats.
