The Maine Aviation Historical Society (MAHS) is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of aviation in Maine. The MAHS was founded in Bangor, Maine in 1962 and since then has been working to collect, preserve, and share the history of aviation in Maine.

The MAHS offers a variety of resources and programs to help promote and preserve Maine’s aviation heritage. The MAHS has an extensive library that houses books, magazines, and photographs related to Maine aviation. They also have an aviation museum that features displays of aircraft, artifacts, and photographs that tell the story of Maine’s aviation history.

The MAHS also holds various events throughout the year, such as fly-ins, air shows, educational seminars, and other aviation-related activities. They also host an annual Maine Aviation Hall of Fame induction ceremony to honor and recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to Maine aviation.

The MAHS also offers a variety of membership options that include discounts on admission to events and access to the library and museum. Members also receive a quarterly newsletter that provides updates on the activities of the MAHS.
