The Stone County Historical Society was founded in 1966 by a group of local citizens who were passionate about preserving the history of Stone County, Arkansas. The Society's headquarters is located in Mountain View, Arkansas, and its mission is to promote and support the preservation of the county’s rich history. The Society has collected and archived a wide range of artifacts, documents, and photographs that help tell the stories of the county’s past.
